Who We Are
At The Matthew Mark Foundation, we believe in the power of community, resilience, and the outdoors to foster mental well-being for youth and adults alike. Inspired by the spirit of two friends taken too soon, our mission is rooted in kindness, inclusivity, and a commitment to the health of our community in Northwest Arkansas. We work tirelessly to create a supportive environment where every individual feels empowered and valued.

Meet Our Founder
Joseph Olivarez, founder of The Matthew Mark Foundation, brings over a decade of experience as a dedicated music educator into the world of mountain bike coaching and mentorship. Inspired by his lifelong love of biking and passion for community-building, Joseph is committed to helping individuals—young and old—reach their potential on the trails and in life. Now deeply rooted in Northwest Arkansas with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and two cats, Joseph is invested in strengthening the community he calls home. Through his work with the Foundation, he aims to create a safe, welcoming space where every rider can build skills, confidence, and resilience. His journey is about sharing the joy and healing power of biking while honoring the memory of two friends who inspired him to make a difference.
