The Matthew Mark Foundation is committed to providing an inclusive, accessible environment that ensures equal participation for all community members, including individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to make mountain biking and related activities available to everyone, fostering community, resilience, and personal growth.

Policy Statement

We strive to create programs, services, and events that are accessible, safe, and welcoming for everyone, including participants with physical, sensory, cognitive, and other disabilities.

Commitment to Accessibility

1. Physical Accessibility
 

  • We ensure that our facilities, trails, and event locations are as accessible as possible. We collaborate with accessible venues and adapt our trails and equipment to accommodate participants of varying mobility levels.


2. Program and Event Accommodations
 

  • Upon request, we provide reasonable accommodations, such as adapted equipment, alternative formats, and specialized coaching support. For events and clinics, we will work to provide wheelchair-accessible spaces, alternative seating, and visual/auditory aids.


3. Communication and Information Accessibility
 

  • We are committed to making our communications accessible, including our website, social media, and printed materials. Digital content is designed with accessibility in mind, ensuring compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

 

  • Upon request, we will provide materials in alternative formats, such as large print, audio, or digital formats.

  • Our staff and volunteers receive ongoing training to foster an inclusive environment and to assist individuals with disabilities respectfully and effectively.

  • We welcome feedback from our participants, families, and community partners regarding accessibility. Our goal is to identify and address barriers to participation actively, making continuous improvements as needed.
